The MTC has guidelines for what missionaries can receive. We've put together everything you need to know so your package arrives without a hitch — and your missionary actually gets to enjoy what's inside.
When in doubt, keep it simple. Snacks, letters, clothing, and personal care items almost always sail right through.
Include your missionary's full name, MTC box number, and the MTC address on the outside. Incomplete labels can cause delays.
Use tape on all seams. Packages that open in transit can be delayed or rejected. We can't reseal packages on your behalf.
For guaranteed same-day delivery, have your package at a drop-off location by 2pm. After that, packages go out first thing the next morning.
Weapons, alcohol, tobacco, and perishable foods are not allowed. When in doubt, leave it out — we can't accept restricted items once dropped off.
You'll get a confirmation when your package is picked up and again when it's delivered. No wondering, no waiting for a callback.
Not sure if something is allowed? Reach out before you drop off and we'll tell you straight away. We'd rather you ask than have a package turned away.
One more thing: MTC policies can change. We stay up to date so you don't have to — but if your missionary has specific guidelines from their mission president, always defer to those. When in doubt, reach out to us before packing.
